Rajim Kumbh Mela
Rajim is located in the Gariyabandh district of Chhattisgarh state in India. Every year, Rajim Kumbh Mela is held at Rajim, which is located at the Gariyabandh district of Chhattisgarh. It is a hindu pilgrimage place visited by people and the religious gurus. Rajim Kumbh is organized by Mr. Shera Golani of Raipur district. From the ancient times, it has been a pilgrimage centre for the followers of Vaishnavism. It is popularly known as Shiva Dharma Centre. In ancient times it was a camping station on the pilgrimage route. The ritual of Kalpvas is also performed at Rajim just like it is performed at Allahabad. The traditional ‘Punni Mela’ is performed every year at the famous Rajiv Lochan Temple, which is located near the holy confluence of the Mahanadi, Pairi and Sondur rivers in Rajim. At Rajim Kumbh also, a ceremony called ‘fifth Kumbh’ is performed similar to the traditional ‘Punni Mela’. The Shri Rajiv Lochan Mandir and the Rajiv Lochan temple are also located in Rajim near Raipur. A number of temples and ashrams, the seat of God and spiritual gurus are also situated there.
