Raut Nacha is a dance performed by yadava/yaduvanshis, a caste of Chhattisgarh who considers them to be descendants of Krishna. The people consider the dance form as a symbol of worship to Krishnafrom the day of Goverdhan Puja till the day of awakening of the God after a brief rest. According to the Hindu calendar, it is celebrated on the 11th day after Diwali.
